The OSHA 300 log is the document used to log work-related injuries and illnesses on the job site. It serves as the running record for the year, capturing each case with essentials like date, location, job title, a brief description, and the outcome, and it’s kept on site so supervisors can monitor safety performance. For each incident, more detail is recorded on Form 301, which provides a full incident report. At year’s end, the counts are summarized on Form 300A and posted in the workplace. Form 600 is not the standard OSHA log used for day-to-day recording.
